Here is the video

Frank Turek vs. Christopher Hitchens: What Best Explains Reality? from Andrew Ketchum on Vimeo.

This debate is a lot like their first debate. It is interesting that Hitchens and Turek have not changed since the first debate. I find it interesting that Hitchens makes the following assertions. Hitchens tries to deny Jesus' existence, without actually trying to prove it. Instead of Hitchens attacking Turek's arguments against design, he argued that design and structure does not mean that there is a God. I'm afraid that he has a point about how Turek's argument does not necessarily lead to God. However, Hitchens' rant against Mother Teresa and religion does not negate the fact that there is evidence for a creator. I disagree with Hitchens that if science can show that the origins and endings of the universe gives evidence for the Bible, does not mean that we can't use it for evidence. Turek described the beginning and Hitchens described the ending. Hitchens asked who designed the ending that we can see is coming. God did it. Hitchens' conclusions about God's character in light of the problems he sees in observing the natural order, are wrong because who is he to decide what the the best natural order looks like.

In this debate, Turek did a much better job than in the first debate. He really went after Hitchens. He responded well to Hitchens' arguments. I love the way he answered Hitchens charges against God and He seemed a much better behavior. Not everything can be answered in two hours. However it's a useful debate.
