Here is a great article that quotes R.C. Sproul about what Election really is. I agree with how Dr Sproul explains how divine election works because it's Biblical. Everyone is hostile to God before we are called and drawn to Christ by the Father. There is no other explanation for how hearts of stone are replaced with hearts of flesh.
