  1. Granted the foundations for the scientific method are philosophical in nature and cannot be shown to exist using the scientific method and granted that science cannot explain everything about reality. But that doesn’t change the fact that 1) a deity with whom one can have a personal relationship should be “detectable” and 2) just because science cannot explain everything, it does a better, more complete job than theology. If a particular phenomenon cannot be explained by science then one can at best be agnostic in regards to said phenomenon. Science not explaining something doesn’t give you carte blanche to believe Bronze Age fairy tales.

I.e. if the geological record shows no evidence that there was a global flood, then one is not rational to believe in a global flood. If the geological record shows us that Pangea broke up over 150 million years ago and the fossil record shows us the earliest hominids lived only 7 million years ago, then one is not rational to believe that Homo Sapiens occupied pre-breakup Pangea.

    It’s really that simple.

  2. 1. Who says God isn't detectable?
    2. How do you prove that science does a better complete job explaining somethings that science cannot explain?

It is simple. There is much that can't be weighed, counted, measure, or observed or quantified using the scientific method - yet still real.

A lack of evidence is just that. It does not give carte blanche to believe that there were no homo sapiens on the earth before Pangea completely broke up. Saying you don't know and stating your opinion is the best you got. Pitiful as that is.

A lack of evidence is just that. It does not give carte blanche to believe that there were not Alien Slug-Overlords who ruled on Pangea with an iron fist. You can't say there wasn't!!!!

  4. Prove there wasn't any people on Pangea.

  5. Weren't. "Prove there weren't any people on Pangea".

You prove there weren't Evil Slug Overlords first.

  6. You prove that there were Evil Slug Overlords and while you are at it define "evil" and why you have the right to say that they are evil.
