David Wood recently posted an article about a Christian named Mussie Eyob who may be executed in Saudi Arabia because he told other people about Jesus. Apparently he has only been a Christian for 2 years, yet he is willing to put his life on the line and willing to die because he believes that people need Jesus! That is such commitment and love not just Jesus but for others who need to hear the Gospel. It really is that serious.

Two Great Posts from David Heddle.
Image via WikipediaImage via Wikipedia
David Heddle had me laughing today.
He wrote a post responding to the news that Jerry Coyne thinks that dealing with people who believe in creation is the same thing as there being a conflict between science and religion. It would be funny if the man was not serious.
He Lives: And the Booby Prize goes to...
Earlier he posted the news that a wealthy friend of Lawrence Krauss has been accused of paying for child prostitutes and instead of condemning his friend's action Krauss defended his friend. I liked the way Dr. Heddle summed up the point of the post.

I'm not sure I worded that clearly, so here is a summary of what I am trying to say:
- Krauss has a scumbag friend who has exploited child prostitutes for sex.
- Krauss was an imbecile in the manner he chose to defend his friend.
- Since the pedophile is Krauss's friend, Krauss's behavior might be looked at through the lens: it is never easy to throw a friend under the bus--even when he richly deserves it.
- The free-thinking Gnu crowd is incapable of such nuance, because what Krauss did strikes them as anti-feminist, and nothing anti-feminist deserves a nuanced look.
Man, that star fell fast!

William Lane Craig vs. Sam Harris Debate Audio - Apologetics 315
On April 07, 2011 William Lane Craig debated Sam Harris on the question if "good" comes from God or not. The audio is already up. You can get it from Brian Auten's site Apologetics 315. Two philosophers cross swords. I'm sure that a video will be available soon. I'll add the video to this post as soon as I find a link to one.

Apologist Interview: Robert M. Bowman - Apologetics 315
This week, Brian Auten posted a couple of good posts regarding the work of Robert M. Bowman. I really enjoyed the interview and I'm glad for the links to more of his material. They are a big help to anyone who wants to learn. God has truly blessed us through the work of men like Brian and Robert M. Bowman. We have no excuse to be ignorant of God.

dangerous idea: Groothuis on Multiverses and Intelligent Design
Victor Reppert recently posted the following on his blog:
Which I totally agree with. I can't see why anyone would ignore the design of the universe and dismiss it as appearance, yet embrace the concept of multiple universe given that we cannot detect them and even scientist who push the idea admit that we will most likely never be able to detect them. Following Dr. Reppert's comment, someone named Anna said the following:
The truly sad thing is that I think she's right. This is totally the kind faulty objection some skeptic might rise. It's silly because what does Intelligent design have to do with supernatural? And why would supernatural causes and effects negate the point that the universe was not a product of uncaused naturalistic processes. Not everyone who sees the universe as having been intelligently designed think it was God. I agree that it was God, but not everyone agrees with me. Intelligent Design merely says that the universe was designed - it does not necessarily discusses the agent of that design nor the purpose of that design. For those, you need greater revelation which we have in the Bible.
dangerous idea: Groothuis on Multiverses and Intelligent Design
Why is the multiverse theory science, and ID not science? Can we appeal to the unobserved and unobservable, so long as it's not personal? Can one, with a straight face, reject theism because of Ockham's razor, and then believe in the multiverse?

Victor,
I imagine one brand of a skeptic's response to be something like, anything natural is more probable than one instance of the supernatural.

Iron Sharpens Iron: James White: Love Wins by Rob Bell Examined & Critiqued
Last Monday, James White was a guest on Irons Sharpens Iron. The subject was an examination and critique on Rob Bell's new book "Love Wins". Rob Bell has some serious problems in this book. James White has already spoken out but it's good to hear it in the context of an interview. Bell's errors must be pointed out because it's a different Gospel than what the Bible promotes and teaches. Follow the link to hear the interview.
