Danielle Belton wrote a good article about George Zimmerman getting acquitted in killing Trayvon Martin. She sums up my feelings about the verdict very well. I am angry about the verdict, but not surprised. All the evidence I've heard does not line up and it seems like the jury was saying that it's okay to kill a young black male if you feel threatened by him...and who wouldn't feel threatened by him? It could have been me, any of my brothers, cousins, my son, my nephews, or any of my friends. It hits home about just how much our lives are worth in America. Too sad. Well...at least there wasn't a race riot like in 1992 or 1968 or 1965....yet.

I thought that this graphic from Tumblr summed up my feelings nicely.
