Faithful Thinkers: Video: Death Before Age of Accountability
Here is Dr Norman Geisler talking about the salvation of people who die before the "age of accountability". The age of accountability is the point in anyone's life that they can hear and respond to the Gospel with saving faith. It's also tied to when you are able to understand what is "right" and "wrong". Some people think that there is a chronological age that is good for everyone. I disagree, it depends on the individual. It might be 2 yrs-old. 10 or 12 years old. 18 years old. May be never if they are mentally handicapped. That's really God's business as to when we are accountable. He gives mercy to whom he wants and how he wants. The important thing is...if you are reading this then you are accountable and you know it. IF you are old enough to ask "Am I accountable?" You are accountable.

Nothing says "wishful thinking" like the non-biblical concept of the "age of accountability".
ReplyDeleteBig surprise. Somebody didn't watch the video.
ReplyDeleteOh I watched it. His couple of scriptures don't counter act the dearth of scripture in the NT that rule out an age of accountability. He cites David (um...pre-Jesus, so totally besides the point, right?), but doesn't cite David again in Psalms 51:5.
ReplyDeleteIf you are going to believe this crap, at least be honest with yourself.
Jesus is the guarantee of salvation. Jesus is the reason why David was saved. If you want to say the New Testament rules out an age of accountability some proof would help. He cited new and old testament scriptures. At least try harder.
ReplyDeleteBeing sinful from birth does not change the age of accountability or disproves it. No one deserves to go to heaven nor will ever anyone deserve heaven. You have got to do better than that.
