Chuggin' 40s With Obama While Ed Schultz Disses GOP "Sluts" Who Criticize Traveling POTUS - The Snob Blog - Danielle Belton's The Black Snob

Yes, racism and sexism pervades America as much as ever. The only difference today is that people don't seem to realize they are racist and bigoted. People used to be proud of their attitudes. Now they want to distance themselves from it, yet use them to keep people down. On Monday when I saw the news that President Obama and his family were in Ireland I already knew what was coming: he was going to be criticized for being in Ireland while the Midwest was being hit by tornadoes! The other shoe has indeed dropped.

From Mediaite:
Fox Business host Eric Bolling really stepped in it Monday when, in the middle of a rant about a lack of leadership, he said that President Obama was busy “chugging forties” in Ireland, instead of going to tornado-ravaged Missouri. “Forty” is slang for a 40 oz. bottle of malt liquor (or beer), a mainstay of ghetto iconography. Bolling later tweeted defiantly, “For the liberals offended by my “forty” comment, please read this….,” linking to a slang dictionary. According to pool reports, the President drank most of a pint glass, which, in Ireland, is about 20 oz.
I liked how Danielle Belton summarized the sheer stupidity on her blog. She wrote:

Sure, it's FINE to be prejudiced, just don't say that word! You can say everything but that word. Make weed, watermelon, monkey and fried chicken jokes and all will be fine if you just close it all with, "But white people like marijuana, watermelon, and friend chicken too and people called George W. Bush a monkey so, I win! I'm not racist!"
That way you can accuse President Obama of chuggin' 40 oz in Ireland (it was a pint of Guinness to be specific, not a bottle of Ol' English) and then be all, "What! Totally not racist! White people drink 40 ounces too!"
The sad thing is that Eric Bolling is so blind to his own racism he probably doesn't see how that could be offensive. It's not just republicans who have their foots in their mouths for saying stupid. Turns out that Democrats can be stupid too.

Which is why MSNBC's Ed Schultz called Keith Olbermann's ex-ladyfriend conservative radio shock jock Laura "Not Ann Coulter" Ingraham a "slut." Not for actually doing anything slutty of course. But because she's so good at shouting out various conservative talking points about Obama's Europe trip. Hence, she is a slut for the GOP. A word slut of some kind, perhaps. I don't know. I don't pretend to understand the kind of sexism where you can get called a slut for not actually having intercourse with numerous of males. If you're going to shout out misogyny, at least be accurate.
Is there something in water? Did Schultz and Bolling drink stupid juice or something? "Hater-aid" maybe? It's infuriating. Why would you take issue with someone's policies and opinions using racism and women-hating stupidity? Belton makes some great points in her post. Read her post at the following link.
