Here is a good article about Mark 16:9-20 and how the fact that it's missing from our earliest manuscripts does not really present the problem opponents of Christianity hope it does.

    Greetings.

    I didn't see very many detailed appeals to evidence in that article. Instead of conceding that Mk. 16:9-20 is not part of Scripture due to its absence in two fourth-century manuscripts (even though there are at least three second-century patristic writers who used the passage -- Justin, Tatian, and Irenaeus), I welcome you to consider the case for the alternative view that these 12 verses were added in the production-stage of the text, not some time later in the transmission-process:
