Human/Chimpanzee Hybrids

I came across a video in which the question of if it is possible for humans and chimps to mate and produce offspring. The video suggests that humans and chimps are over 99% the same genetically, then the question should be explored. This argument really bothers me because more current research has shown that humans and chimpanzees are not as similar as the popular media tries to make us believe.
