Richard Dawkins: The Genius of Charles Darwin

I just came across a television program by Richard Dawkins celebrating the life of Charles Darwin. In the interest of always presenting the views of everyone, even those who disagree with me, I'm posting the three-part series. Listen closely to how Dawkins refers to Darwin in almost messianic tones. Like he was the one who came down from Mt Olympus to enlighten humanity, freeing us from darkness. Too much. IT looks like a love letter.

    Yes, Dawkins simply adores Darwin. It comes through in his books too.

    Every biologist in the world agrees Darwin is the father of modern biology. What's there not to like about that?

    Darwin was wrong about a few things, but his brilliant, beautiful, and simple Natural Selection idea is now stronger than ever. Many of Darwin's predictions have been proven to be correct beyond any doubt, including our close evolutionary relationship with the chimpanzee apes.

    You write about Christian Theology. I can't imagine a more worthless subject. You have no value at all. Compared to Darwin you are equal to a cockroach.

    I think you have been brain washed and no longer think for yourself. Stop drinking that kool aid - it is poisoning you

    Natural selection fails to explain human consciousness and morality. It fails to explain how profoundly different species evolved from common species. I've yet to find a single example of any ancestor proven to bridge the gap between two different species. For example the claim is that human and chimpanzees share a common ancestor yet that ancestor has never been identified or shown why natural selection would favor humans over other possible descendants.

    Of course if I didn't know better I would think that someone who could not grasp the importance of Biblical theology was proof of evolution - because it would mean that you failed to evolve. But given that macro Darwinian evolution is not true, then I am only left to the obvious conclusion: you just need Jesus - accept and trust Him and He will save you from your sins. God loves you although you can't see it. I'm praying that He reveals this truth to you.
