Beggars All: Reformation And Apologetics: Luther: Women were made either to be wives or prostitutes

On his blog James Swan does an excellent job refuting the assertion that Martin Luther had a dim view of women and marriage. Many of his accusers are Roman Catholic apologist who assert that Luther once wrote:

"The word and works of God is quite clear, that women were made either to be wives or prostitutes."

Okay, before you call for Luther's head, please read James Swan's post regarding the context and history of this quote and what Luther is actually on record for teaching.
