When the French surrendered in 1940, it was 22 years after fighting the Germans to a stand still and losing 1.7 million young men (with another 5 million wounded).
Try to keeps some perspective and don't be a douche.
Few know more about being a "douche" than you, so I will really take it under advisement I don't wanna end up like you.
Also try to keep in mind that the character Captain America is a product of the 2nd World War and many people of his time period shared this sentiment - rather you think it's a fair assessment or not. I also doubt that you know what the circumstances are depicted in the comic book either.
I'm not saying anything terrible about France or anything. I understand that WWI was horrible and they hoped they could avoid further blood shed and made the wrong call. Of course they didn't think anyone would stand with them. Lots of countries were looking the other way on purpose - including America.
As for Captain America, if you are offended by a gif in which "Final Justice" is performed on France, then that is your right. However it doesn't mean I don't understand 20th Century history or that I am being disrespectful to anyone. You hate God that you think that anything and everything I post should be an affront to you and the sacred cows you hold dear (and you are blind to those presuppositions). Truly sad. You need much prayer.

OK
So Marcus, in the original post, said: "I'm not sure if this a joke or not..."
Now that is a joke!!! I mean do you forget what you write or think people won't check? There are no less than 10 examples of you operating under the assumption that John is serious about his preaching engagement. You've got some really serious pride issues. Too funny! Thanks for the laugh.
I wasn't sure if Loftus was joking because I couldn't imagine that he is as juvenile as you. I was wrong. Thanks for helping me to see my error See I can admit to being wrong. Unlike you.

This post was for amusement. Lighten up.
Marcus said "I'm not saying anything terrible about France or anything. I understand that WWI was horrible..."
ReplyDeleteAnd then Marcus said a gif of Captain America kicking the crap out of "France" was "hilarious".
Hehe... yeah...
As I said lighten up. Too bad your sense of humor seems to extend only to John Loftus' scripture twisting.

ReplyDeleteAs always... um... what???
But either way, I don't read Loftus unless your blog title is so obviously fallacious.
You seemed to think that posts like Debunking Christianity: What Jesus Christ Had to Say About the Outsider Test for Faith! from John Loftus are funny. And clearly he twists scripture into saying that which it does not say.You can call my take fallacious as much as you want, but asserting it and proving it are two very different things.

You needed help determining if he was joking or not. Recognizing something as a joke does not necessarily mean one thinks it's funny. Just FYI.
ReplyDeleteAs for paragraph 2, project much?
I think you need to go back and read my post on it. I didn't say it wasn't a joke. I was showing how it was a poor joke based on scripture twisting.
ReplyDeleteAs for paragraph 2, it's okay to admit that you have a problem. It's the first step to recovery.

How is not being sure such a stupid blog post is a joke or not the same thing as saying said blog post is not a joke? The pride is yours.

ReplyDeleteYou are a prideful idiot, as I'm sure you are aware.
