Apologetics 315: Essay: The Impossible Faith by James Patrick Holding

Here is another essay in a series being published by Apologetics 315. JP Holding has a great article just published that summarizes the best arguments that he finds persuasive for why Christianity is true. He came up with an argument that I had never considered before. The embarrassment and sheer shame and humiliation of being crucified could have doomed Christianity before it even started. The only way it could have  been overturned, given how contemporary people  viewed the crucifixion, was if there had been a resurrection. This is an awesome essay worth reading as is his web site at www.tektonics.org.

Atheism is Dead: The Bible Among the Myths

Mariano, has provided a comprehensive post on some resources available that allows one to evaluate the misconception that Christian doctrines and Theology in general, and our understanding of Jesus in particular are "borrowed" from pagan and mystery religions. He has done me the honor of referencing some of my blog articles as wells as some of his in his list. He also refers us to John N. Oswalt's book.  The link to his resoursce list is below:

Another website I must mention if you want to read more about this is Tekton and look at a post I did about the founder of that site, JP Holding. Here is the link.JP Holding on the Christ Myth.
