19 But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. - Genesis 50:19,20
"God commands what we cannot do that we may know what we ought to seek from Him."

Despite the picture, don't forget that Augustine was a black man.
"You are never going to have an African at the same level of St. Augustine with regard to theology.”

Meanwhile, here is St. Augustine, who was most likely of Berber and Roman descent: pic.twitter.com/QYZ3vZaV7w
Confessions (Latin: Confessiones) is the name of an autobiographical work, consisting of 13 books, by St. Augustine of Hippo, written between AD 397 and AD 398. Modern English translations of it are sometimes published under the title The Confessions of St. Augustine in order to distinguish the book from other books with similar titles, such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Confessions. (Summary by Wikipedia)I'm looking forward to wading through this material. It was Augustine who prayed when he was young, "Lord, grant me chastity....but not yet."
