Answering Muslims: Jihad Returns to London: A Reply to Prime Minister David Cameron
Last Wednesday, a town in the UK experienced a real act of terrorism. Two men hit an off-duty soldier with a car, got out, and then hacked him to death with machetes. They stayed around and talked to witnesses and explained why they did it. One even recorded a message on one of the witnesses' smart phone! He said that they did this horrible murder because they are Muslims and are agents of Allah and followers of the Quran. Hearing the UK government come back and say that this had nothing to do with Islam seems like a slap in the face to the murdered soldier, Lee Rigby. Call this what it was.

The 1 Percent Has Nearly Tripled Its Share of America's Income - Politics - GOOD
For years people have been complaining that the rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer. This is what I think the "Occupy" movements are about just like the riots in the UK and France the last couple of years.

The 1 Percent Has Nearly Tripled Its Share of America's Income - Politics - GOOD
For more than a month now, Occupy Wall Street supporters have been camping in lower Manhattan to voice their dissatisfaction with, among other things, America's mind-boggling income inequality. Though they've faced criticism from naysayers all along the way, it turns out that the protesters' grievances aren't just figments of their collective imagination after all: In the past three decades, the richest 1 percent of Americans have seen their share of the U.S. income grow by 275 percent since 1979, according to a new study from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. In comparison, the poorest 20 percent had only an 18 percent increase. Never again should anyone ever ask, "What is Occupy Wall Street so angry about?"

Friendly Atheist » The Christopher Hitchens/Tony Blair Debate on Whether Religion is a Force for Good
Okay, I missed this one. Tony Blair debated Christopher Hitchens?!! Wow. They debated debated the resolution “Religion is a force for good in the world”. I haven't had a chance to watch this yet, so I'm not going to comment in much detail. After I watch it I might update this post with some thoughts but I think Blair is making a mistake/ It's my impression that Hitchens will trounce him and not because atheism is correct or have better arguments but because I don't think Tony Blair has them tools to defeat Hitchens where knowledge and wit would be a required asset to succeed. Check it out if you have not watched it already. The Playlist below should be watched from left to right (the first video is on the far left - this is not a YouTube playlist)
