A Thoughtful and Well-Reasoned Discourse on Why Pi Can Go Suck It - Topless Robot Fat Chance!!!!

I was really interested to see what this video might have. I have to admit that making the argument to replace 2* Pi with another constant to simplify many equations has an appeal. However, I think that one important fact was neglected. True Pi is the ratio of diameter to circumference, but Pi is also equal to the number of radians in all triangles one of the basis on which trigonometry is based. In Calculus, this relationship combined with the relationship of Pi to circles saves many a calculation. Pi still rules!

Please Make A Note: How Euler Derived the Momentum Equations

I found this great post explaining a great derivation important for Physics and Mechanical Engineering.

In this post, I will present Euler's derivation of the momentum balance equations for a fluid flow. Please note that I will use modern notation with a few modifications to the original derivation to clarify certain issues. Nonetheless, the core of Euler's derivation is maintained.

Celebrating Pi

Circle illustration
Today I found all kinds of  videos celebrating the number Pi. Why is Pi so important? It is the ratio of any circle's circumference to its diameter!  It does not matter how large or small a circle is you get Pi. The number appears in almost every single formula describing the physical world we use. The number is special because it is irrational ( can't be written as a fraction) and goes on forever.

Math Teacher Owns Student in Pokemon Battle

I think that this is how a teacher should handle the following:  Getting a test where a student drew a pokemon character (Charizard) because he could not figure it out. The teacher responds by drawing a water-type pokemon the opposite type that Charizard is). This teacher knows more than linear algebra! I'd like to know what kind of school this is where its college level mah and the student signs his name with just his first? Could be hoax....albeit a funny one!.
