SMU Debate: Can We Trust the Text of the New Testament? Daniel B. Wallace & Bart D. Ehrman

I just watched the October 1st debate between Dr Daniel Wallace and Dr Bart Ehrman. If you haven't seen it use the link below to order it on DVD. It's well worth it. Ehrman has changed his tune. He used to say that we know what the autographs say due to the work critical criticism but when Wallace quoted him saying that he said that he no longer believes that (link). I've got to give him more credit than Dan "Don't quote me, Bro!" Barker (look at this link if you didn't get the reference). At least Ehrman says he changed his mind instead of trying to pretend he never said it. Here is a trailer for the October 1st Debate.

The 'All Star Superman' Animated Movie: One of the Best [Review] - ComicsAlliance | Comics culture, news, humor, commentary, and reviews

This review  by Chris Sims is really good. I have an occasion to see All-Star Superman and I loved it. I haven't read the mini-series on which the movie was based but I want to read it now. I don't know if this movie is Dwayne McDuffie's final work to be produced, but it was released the day after he died.  It's based on a mini-series written by Grant Morrison. I also love the other things I've read that Morrison wrote. Some how McDuffie managed to summarize and condense a story that took a year to publish into about 75 minutes and still remain epic, fun, and thought-provoking..

The Top 4 Moments From 4 Seasons of Heroes | Heroes: NBC TV Show/Series – News, Spoilers, Reviews, and Fan Forum

I liked the television series Heroes. Here is an interesting article listing the four greatest moments from the TV series. I agree with the list but I would add more. For example:

1. Moment where Angela Petrali tricked Sylar and Peter into thinking that they were brothers
2. The moment that Peter realized that he could control his powers in Season 1

I'd like to get season 4 on Blu-Ray.

Review: Hulk Vs

Well I got the Hulk Vs DVD and I've got to admit that it was great! I loved it. They were great stand-alone stories. To be honest, I liked the Wolverine story better because I think Wolverine was captured perfectly as well as the Hulk. Wolverine took a huge beating but he gave as good as he got. I thought Thor was too wussy. He got his can kicked and handed back to him a lot more than I expected.

I found a link on the blog below that lists some of the Hulk's best battles against other Marvel characters.
Secret Wars on Infinite Earths: The Comic Book Fight Club

I believe that I would say that the Hulk won both battles on the DVD and he fought more than just Thor and Wolverine. He fought all of Weapon X and the army of Asgard and beat all of them.

Finally More DVDs to Collect

Two of the biggest movies released this year is coming to VDV and Blue Ray. I really enjoyed them in the theater and I look forward to enjoying them at home this fall. The movies are Iron Man (September 30, 2008) and the Incredible Hulk. I plan to write critiques and analysis of both in light of Biblical theology soon.

I really like ReelComics.com It is where I first read the announcement. Here is the one about Iron Man and the other concerning the Hulk.
