Gingrich: Adultery Makes Me More Human Than Mitt "Only Sexes Up His Wife" Romney - The Snob Blog - Danielle Belton's The Black Snob

Danielle Belton has posted an article that I think everyone should consider. Newt Gingrich has been in national politics for decades now and his personal issues and failing have been public knowledge. She wrote:

Presidential wannabe Newt Gingrich tried to pull that off in an interview with CBN's David Brody where Gingrich tried to spin his "past weaknesses" as making him more "human" than everyone's favorite Republican Robot, Mitt Romney.

What a really weird way to spin his situation and attack his opponent! I have not heard Gingrich publicly acknowledge what he has done as wrong, but he does admit that he did them. He is basically saying that Romney is too perfect and people can identify with him better because Gingrich is more human. I think its important to remember that each one of us are sinners who fall short of God's standards - no one is perfect. We should acknowledge our errors and move on, but not glory in them let alone attack another because they have not done what you have done! Romney is just a man and sinner like all of us. There is no need to attack him for that.If the President of the United States must be sinless - no one could be elected.

Open Marriages Aren't Wrong? –Newt Gingrich Is - News - GOOD

WASHINGTON, DC - MARCH 31: Former Speaker of ...

I don't think that it is plainly hypocritical for Newt Gingrich to judge Bill Clinton for his infidelity and that the public has the right to know and yet claim that his own infidelity should be private. I don't think Gingrich's hypocrisy makes open marriage correct. I don't see any reason to change the definition of traditional heterosexual and monogamous marriage. However, Gingrich inability to remain faithful to his wife (and being unapologetic about it), sure doesn't fill me with confidence that he would be a good President.

If Herman Cain Had an Affair, the Woman Was His Lover, Not His Victim - News - GOOD

I admit that I was offended when Herman Cain said the poor and unemployed are in that condition because it is their fault, but this is worse. If his spouse can't trust him to be faithful and he lie about it, why should I expect to be able to trust him to do the right things as President of the United States? I don't.

If You're Broke, Herman Cain Sez That's Probably Your Fault (Video) - The Snob Blog - Danielle Belton's The Black Snob

Danielle Belton has posted a really good article regarding an interview of the Hermain Cain, a Republican who says he wants to be President of the United States.

CAIN: I don’t have facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama administration. Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks, if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself! [...] It is not someone’s fault if they succeeded, it is someone’s fault if they failed.

I don't want to vote for anyone who thinks this way!

I admit that I haven't been closely following the Republican Primaries, but Google has compiled info from the debate and the data has been converted into an Infographic.

John Boehner’s “Obama Diss”: Obstructionism, Racism, Or One In The Same?

Here is a really good article reflecting on how the Republicans are treating the President. House Speaker, John Boehner, has shown profound disrespect. If you can't respect the man, at least respect his elected position. It's one thing to dislike a man because of his opinions and policies but I think it goes deeper than that.

Ad Asks: "Have You Ever Had Sex With Rick Perry?" - The Snob Blog - Danielle Belton's The Black Snob

I have never seen a political ad like this one. I mean how? It amazes me because there people who say that what you do in your bedroom between consenting adults is no one's business. This poster seems to point to that deep down we all know that it does matter. The poster asks what kind morals do we want our President to live?

THE INTERSECTION | MADNESS & REALITY: Another Great Republican Idea: Let's Pay Women On Welfare To Get Their Tubes Tied

I'm late on this because I was so angry on this that  I decided to hold off commenting on it. I mean, I could not believe this, Paying poor people to voluntarily sterilize themselves just is wrong. I don't know what is worse: suggesting it or even thinking it a moral position to have. It says that people who do not have a lot of money don't deserve to have children It also shows disdain for reproductive rights and ability - as if such a gift (that not everyone has) can have a monetary value placed on it. Eugenics is still with us, folks.

White House Correspondents Dinner: Obama Takes On Trump, Birthers, The Media, And More (VIDEO)

After a week of really being attacked by Donald Trump and other stupid Republicans. But he did it in a humorous way. I thought it was awesome. I was glad to see Obama hit back at his critics. Look at the link at the end of this post to look at the article.

THE INTERSECTION | MADNESS & REALITY: Racist Republican Strikes Again: Obama's Parents Were Monkeys

Opposition poster for the 1866 election. Geary...Image via WikipediaThis is "post-racial America"! Or so I keep being told. I guess someone forgot to tell Marilyn Davenport. She forward an e-mail picture of a 3 chimpanzees dressed like a human family with President Obama's face superimposed over the Baby's face with the Caption, “Now you know why — No birth certificate!” She said it was only a joke, but in order for her to say that one of the following must be true:

a. She's ignorant as to how black people have been stereotyped and mocked throughout American History.
b. She thinks we are all stupid.

I like this particular article because it bring up a point that I haven't been thinking a lot about. I thought that this "birther" thing would have been squashed by now, but as the blogger points out that Arizona has taken this a whole step farther.

It's bad enough that Arizona passed a "Birther" law which requires anyone (who they think is Kenyan) to submit a birth certificate, or show that you're circumcised (if you have a penis) to be on the ballot. This has never been done before in history (yeah white folks, see how they change rules once Black people get in the game?). Now you have this so-called non-racist because she has Black friends, continuing in racist tradition. Oh yeah, watch the following video and listen to them detail her racist and racism-defending antics as well as those of others. Hopefully Republican officials get her out of there; she gotta go. Everybody knows her, "I have Black friends," response is quite typical.
It's a scary world.
