Mia Love - Speech At Republican National Convention - YouTube
Interesting. The America Mia Love describes is not the one on I recognize. Face it NO ONE pulls themselves up on their own. Everything you have is from God (either directly or through others) and we are supposed to share what you have been given with others. America is far from a level playing field. People have opportunities and advantages that others don't have. You don't have what you have for you, but for blessing others. I don't see this represented by the Republican party or the Democratic party. Guess it's back to voting for the lesser of multiple evils. I don't agree Barack Obama on everything but he seems to recognize that he owes others his success in addition to his hard work and I don't hear that from Mia Love, Mitt Romney or other Republicans.

Racial Comments By Republican Candidates - YouTube
Check this out:
2012 Republican Presidential candidates Mitt Romney, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum have made comments leading up to the Iowa Caucus regarding race (the Dream Act, Civil Rights and an assumption regarding welfare respectively). The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur explains.

Herman Cain Tries To Win Over Black People By Insulting Their Intelligence - The Snob Blog - Danielle Belton's The Black Snob
Here are two articles about Herman Cain. He wants to be President. I don't think I want him. Danielle Belton points out something really important.

Check out Rippa's article also over at Herman Cain: African Americans are “Brainwashed.” And “Not Open-Minded”
You know? I'll never get this tactic that is, in my opinion, overused by black conservatives to get their fellow Negroes to cross over to the GOP side. I call it the "All black people are stupid but me" tactic. Which is, by far, the worst tactic to use. Herman Cain, presidential wannabe and Godfather pizza man, recently went on CNN and said the Democrats have "brainwashed" black people into not seeing conservatism and the Republican Party as viable political options. Which ... OMG? Really? That old lie that pretends like the 1960s and 70s never happened? But then, maybe Cain wasn't trying to win over any black people to the GOP with that statement. Maybe that was really about making white conservatives feel better since the GOP is routinely accused of harboring, defending and protecting bigots within their own party, rather than running them out of town.Cain has definitely not won me over.

Al-Qaida's Head Osama Bin Laden Dead
Who say President Obama has failed to deliver all of his campaign promises? I seem to remember he promised his administration promising get Osama Bin Laden - either dead or alive. May 1, 2011 it's been announced that the US military has done exactly that - killing Bin Laden with very few casualties. Definitely a win for the Presidential administration. It was Obama's call, given the information he had, whether or not take the risk of sending elite troops to kill Bin Laden. Here is Obama's speech
This is not just about avenging the thousands who died September 11, 2001. Make no mistake, given another chance Bin Laden would have attacked the United States again and we had to get him so that no one else thinks they can attack the United States with impunity. Also given the past week in American politics, this is even sweeter. Donald Trump and the tea baggers and some Republicans have been criticizing and calling Obama's abilities and character into question - not just his policies. They forced the President of the United States to provide a Birth certificate!? And then insinuated that he only got the opportunities he's had because of affirmative action and didn't deserve them. They went as far as demanding he provide this transcripts and grades! Why? Because he is African American and they are doing all they can to discredit him. Given all of this, I was really impressed with Obama's speech Saturday night at the White House Correspondence Dinner. I watched the look on his face. It was a look of victory and triumph and I though that it was because he was finally able to respond to those morons and put them in their place. He pawned Trump in public and he told the truth!! It was priceless. I see now it was even better than that. Obama already knew at that point that Osama Bin Laden was dead and they had the body (If I understand the timeline correctly) or he already knew the operation was on its way. He just sat back and let them ignorantly say what ever they wanted and Sunday night came the whammy. It could not be any better.
I knew Obama was a good politician, but I had no idea how much of a poker face he has. I would had been sprung this on Trump a lot sooner. Some people have said that Obama is the worse President ever. I disagree. I mean you have to give the man some props for this one. He certainly isn't the worse and I don't agree with everything he does or says, but I wouldn't agree completely with any President. C'mon, lets try to be fair. A lot of Americans are celebrating...and I'm just waiting to see what the Republicans are going to say about this. I know it's early but some candidates for memes are already making it around the internet!
